Wren works with reactive dogs and the people who are tired of crossing the street. Sessions mix communication with very concrete management.

About this work

I was that person with the dog everyone judged at the trailhead. Then I got serious about what the dog was actually tracking — not “dominance,” not “spite,” just a nervous system that had been dropped into too much city.

I still walk dogs for a living two days a week, which keeps me honest. I will not tell you to “just socialize more.” I will tell you which block your dog hates, whether the harness is pinching, and if they’re working harder than you think on the way home.

I keep evenings open for West Coast clients.

Bean exploded at bikes. Wren asked if we always turned around at the same fire hydrant. We did — because that’s where a bike hit him as a stray, it turns out, from the shelter notes. We changed the route. 80% better in a week.

Good session. A little rushed at the end. The notes were excellent though, and my dog is walking past the school fence now without losing her mind.
