Lila is the person you book when the animal is small and everyone else has shrugged. Rabbits who stop eating. Rats who suddenly hide. Guinea pigs who freeze when a particular person walks in.
Small animals get treated like furniture with a pulse. They’re not. Rabbits in particular will go into GI stasis over things people consider trivial: a moved enclosure, a lost companion, a floor that’s suddenly cold.
I keep rabbits and have volunteered at a small-mammal rescue since 2016. I will ask about hay, floor time, and whether anyone in the house is loud in the morning. I will also tell you if the animal is asking for a friend, which is more often than owners want to hear.
I work evenings for the UK and East Coast.

“Cloud stopped coming out after we lost his brother. The rescue said get another rabbit immediately. Lila said wait, keep the brother’s blanket, and sit on the floor at the same time every night. Two weeks later he started flopping again. We did add a friend later. She was right about the wait.”
“Jam was bullying Toast. Lila had us add a second hide and change who gets veggies first. Peace treaty in five days. I recommend her to every pig person I know.”
